Photographs for the final piece,(progress of the making.)
I’ve managed to find some old collected materials from my project and the progression of it.

I brought old film sleeve ,which I sew inside out to make the start of the book.

I 've added a little book of ants inside the bigger book ,thinking about size.

Also in this book,I want to have different mix media with the print making.

using the travel tags, and sewing the butterfly on top giving more of a 3D look

This is  the side of the book(Final piece.),and creating lots of different pockets to be open to find different animals inside, but also creating small hangers so the bird cages ,can be hanged up if want to.The hanger idea was form the greetings card  project.
From using these different materials, and in my sketchbook creating small collages, I’ve looked at “Hannah Hoch” because of her work and the use of collage, but ‘m also a little interested in the zeitgeist of the time and thought to write a little about it. Hannah Hoch being known for her involvement in the Dada movement in Berlin but thought this time, many historical events happened, political unrest in the early thirties, which lead to the Third Reich and world war two.
But her work had more of Feminism outlook as when she was working at “Verlang” she targeted women trying making them aware of the difference of women in the media and reality. As of working  within the Dada movements ,it sort of started the being of “Photomontage”.

From looking at her work, I really liked this piece as the use of different collected emphrma, creating composition of over laying the different materials  making it interesting, which I‘ve used in my work by collecting different emphrma.
I’ve sort of left my blog to suffer a little bit and I forgot my password too which hasn’t helped  so, I’m going to update it much as possible and what I’ve doing, for this print project .I want to create a small book of the different animals that I’ve used in the is print making project, having different materials that I’ve used which has also been in influenced by the research that I’ve looked in to artist and other books that have used different ways of presenting. For this book idea that I have for the animals, I’ve been inspired by visiting the Sherlock Holmes museum on Baker street. As of the the house is full of old Victorian things which I mainly liked the look of the old books and the framed butterflies (emtonogly) also visiting Norwich castle museum and looking into their Victorian displays
From visiting these places, it has given me more of an
Idea where to head for book idea of animals, which I
Would want to use the different animals that I have
Drawn and in vole them in to a small book, in a way
having this little book, small collection of animals like the natural history museum .As of looking from looking at these inspirations I would like my work to have an old look about it, maybe the use of the materials, That I could use and from another project with alternative greetings card, I used old envelopes and letters that I brought from old junk shops.

So from using older materials in the other project, I would want to use them in this project. In the other project I made the card more interactive with the viewer, were they had to open the envelope like a present, so from this I would like to make the book, to in vole the reader by opening little pockets.

How many prints did you make this week?
I made about five prints today, and a few lino cuts, which I made this really little frog, which I want to show about the size which from watching “The Zoo.”
How many of these prints taught you something new this week?
I would say that it hasn’t taught me something new but, making me think of how my final piece could be, and how to it further.
Competence in practical printmaking techniques?

With this,Ive tryed to show the different use of size and starting to think of it more compositional  on the page.
Thoughtful and imaginative use of printmaking?
I’ve printed on to fabric with this I’m going to start working in to this, exploring and experimenting with it.
Using research to expand knowledge, enrich thinking and affect your work?
From this I’ve been looking into Hannah hoch’s work, which I’m going to expand on more with this, as I find her work quite interesting and the zeitgeist ,from this there will be another blog entry ,more in-depth of her work.
Active participation in the taught lesson?
Only really of the printing press and much wadding of paper that is placed in the press ,which can make it easy to work or not.
